Prospective presenters are encouraged to submit proposals that challenge current practices and suggest creative, innovative approaches to developing, providing, and evaluating social work and mental health services that bridge the gap for practice across generations. In addition to proposals related to the conference theme, topics requested include but are not limited to: Ethics, Supervision, DSM Review, Mental Health, Health, Geriatric, and Child Welfare.
Workshop proposals are encouraged from practitioners, directors, faculty, field instructors and coordinators. Proposals are limited to two submissions per author with no more than two presenters per workshop.
Proposals will be selected for presentation at the conference based on relevance/importance to social work, social services, and mental health practice; innovativeness/creativity (e.g., presentation of new ideas, evidence-based, or skills); applicability to conference theme; and technical quality (e.g., sentence structure, grammar, spelling, research design, statistical analysis). There should be no identifying information on the proposal information page to ensure an anonymous review process.
Only complete proposals submitted on or before October 9, 2026, will be considered for presentation. Final decisions on proposal acceptance will be made by November 1, 2026.
